Construction is well under way for the Orange Regional Conservatorium and Planetarium.
The opening date is yet to be determined, but given the advanced state of the building it should be well before the end of the year.
Unfortunately, current plans by Orange City Council only include the construction of the planetarium room and not the actual planetarium. Hopefully this decision will be rectified in the coming months and the planetarium installed sometime in 2027.
If not, there will be a fancy room built, but it won't be a planetarium. This would be an extremely disappointing decision by Orange City Council.
