The current designs involve the planetarium being part of a larger facility, with the rest being the Orange Regional Conservatorium of Music. Although they will share the same roof, both the planetarium and the conservatorium will be independent entities and managed independently.
Having a shared facility will help reduce costs by allowing certain aspects to be used by both, for example: ticket office, toilets, and catering facilities. Of course there is also the opportunity to work closely with each other to produce unique programs utilising the expertise of both organizations.
